Departures

To think of starting a trip around the united states while eating my way through the various states is hard to wrap my head around! However, this is something I have wanted to plan for a while now. It was only a few years ago when my room mate (and fellow blogger) gave me Guy Fieri's Book Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.  It was almost an instantaneous idea to plan and eventually go on a "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" road trip.
While I still face a monstrous task of planing, organising and choosing the various destinations, I have managed to narrow down the trip quite a bit. While I could have gone on the west coast, being from Toronto I figured going east coast would be the easiest route (no pun intended).
This trip would involve, myself and my roommate Madison.
Hopefully this trip will take place after we both turn 21, so to partake in drinking, while still living off our parent's buck!
We would travel from our home town of Toronto, hopefully during the summer months, (sadly we are both still in school...and east coast weather is not always great in the winter), and continue on through the states from New York City down toward Florida, across to Louisiana and make our way back up.

While I still need to chose the particular restaurants and sleeping accommodations (which may or may not include sleeping-bags in the car) I feel this is a good start to a long standing "Dream vacation".
